Facial Studies
This page is a gallery for facial studies I created to help get the feel of each character. The live models these pictures are based on aren't "look-alikes" rather inspirations for certain features or expressions.

Arial/Audrey Tatou
She's a cutie. I fell in love with Tatou's expressions in Amelie, although I think she's a bit too cute/sweet looking for the hardier, adventure-prone Arial. The nose and cheeks are especially close. |
Innocence/Billy Idol
It was the pout that sold me. Innocence ages into quite the hottie later on, and Idol seemed prefect for the smouldering-not-as-innocent-as-i-look-badboy thing. It suits better than you'd think. |

Azrael/Rachid Taha
This is not because I like looking at Azrael (which I do) or because I love Taha's music (which I also do). I worked plenty of Middle Eastern culture into creating Azrael. Taha was the best catalyst. His music especially works with Azrael's personality, but his face was the icing on a very tasty cake... |
Lotus/Tarkan Tevetoglu
Originally I found Tevetoglu's pretty face while surfing through a manga shrine. It was too sexy to pass up, and after much contemplation, I awarded the beautiful androgene Lotus with Tevetoglu's gorgeous mug.

Nightfall/Angelina Jolie
This was a no-brainer. Big lips, bigger boobs, who better to serve as smouldering-pout-babe than Angelina Jolie. I swear my concept artist had nookie on the brain when he drew Nightfall. |
Uma/Nicole Kidman
Although a bit of a stretch, Kidman gets bonuses for having a button nose, good cheekbones and red hair. Not to mention a beautiful smile.

Jophiel/Brad Pitt
Another no-brainer. The initial Jophiel sketches reminded me so much of Pitt that I had to strain to find a better match. I gave up. Heaven's generic pretty-boy. |
